1) Prefer using for counterattacks
Inferno Dragon is an excellent troop to use against high-health cards like Golem, Pekka, and Royal Giant Evolution. You should look to take down such enemy tanks and then start a counterattack with attackers and all-rounders.
Using Inferno Dragon offensively would make it an easy target for the crown tower. So, it's best to always use it with other troops like Valkyrie, Musketeer, Mega Knight, and more during counterattacks.
2) Protect Inferno Dragon from electric troops
Electric troops like Electro Wizard, Electro Spirit, and Electro Dragon Evolution will instantly reset Inferno Dragon. If Inferno Dragon is focused on a single target like Pekka and Mega Knight, enemies can often use Electro Wizard to instantly reset the increased damage ability.
Look to instantly use counter troops like Musketeer and Valkyrie to take down electric troops.
3) Placement against moving target
Inferno Dragon's placement is really important against moving targets like Mini Pekka and Mega Knight.
Place Inferno Dragon at most 3.5 tiles away from the enemy troop. Defensively, place the card directly next to the crown tower to keep enemy troops in focus all the time.
4) Synergy with Mega Knight
Mega Knight and Inferno Dragon have one of the best synergies in Clash Royale. Use both of them together to take down as Mega Knight can instantly counter army swarms and low-health attackers like Spear Goblins.
If the enemy uses air troops like Electro Dragon or Minion Horde to counter Inferno Dragon, Mega Knight can push further to start attacking the crown tower.
