Journey Renewed: Fate Fantasy features a roster of 28 heroes that players can collect and upgrade. Each hero requires their own set of viable equipment and weapons on the battlefield, which can often be difficult to grind. Thus, investing and leveling up every hero and their material is not feasible for most, as spending too many resources on a hero that you won't be using for long can hinder your progression.
Knowing the heroes can help you plan and spend your resources strategically. That said, this article ranks all playable characters in Journey Renewed: Fate Fantasy in a tier list.

Tier list for Journey Renewed: Fate Fantasy
In this list, Journey Renewed: Fate Fantasy heroes will be classified into four tiers: A, B, C, and D, with Tier A being the most useful and Tier D being the least. The list is as follows:
A-Tier
These are the best units for the current meta of the game, and investing in them will yield high value. The A-Tier heroes are as follows:
- White Dragon
- Jade Vixen
- Yama
- Six-eared Macaque
- Chang'E
- Nezha
- Lord Erlang
- Sun Wukong
B-Tier
Since most units in A-Tier are of SSR rarity, they can be difficult to acquire. Thus, you can use B-Tier units and gradually shift towards A-Tier. The units for this tier are:
- Zhu Bajie
- Sha Wujing
- Lady Spider
- Princess Peacock
- South Pole Star
- Black Bear Spirit
- Nine-headed Bird
- Queen of Womanland
- Snow White Mouse
- Blazeheart
C-Tier
C-Tier units are good if you don't have better alternatives from B-Tier or A-Tier. These units are not placed high on the list, as they do not perform well in other instances. C-Tier comprises the following heroes:
- Jade Rabbit
- Wordless Scriptures
- Ink Spirit
- Star-Lord Maori
- Pagoda King
- King Golden Horn
- King Silver Horn
D-Tier
These troops are usable in the early stages of the game. However, it is recommended to replace them with better units:
- Lady White Bone
- Goat Immortal
- Gao Cuilan
