The Shadow King's Trials are set to begin on November 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM PST, offering players an exciting opportunity to unlock the Legendary Astral Controller. This character is essential for enhancing performance in Astral's Battleworld and Alliance War activities.

During this event, you can participate in a special leaderboard exclusive to the first run, providing additional resources for upgrading the Shadow King and improving their overall roster. You must achieve specific milestones based on difficulty levels to unlock the character, with a base requirement of difficulty level 8.

Upgrade Tokens

Shadow King's Trials feature his Upgrade Tokens, instantly unlocking him at a specific Star Level. You'll find Shadow King’s Upgrade Tokens in the Trial milestones and Leaderboard.

Run Scores

Clear all of the nodes to earn the most points possible toward your Run Score. You'll have unlimited Run Score attempts, and your highest score will be recorded. A Run can be canceled and restarted anytime without a penalty for your high score.

Earning Shadow King's Stars and Rewards

Earn Shadow King's Upgrade Tokens from milestones by hitting certain Run Scores. You'll need to attempt a Run Score at a minimum difficult level of 8 for the 4 Yellow Star Upgrade Token.

• 4 Yellow Star Upgrade Token - Milestone 8 or harder
• 5 Yellow Star Upgrade Token - Milestone 11 or harder
• 6 Yellow Star Upgrade Token - Top 5000 on the Leaderboard
• 7 Yellow Star Upgrade Token - Top 500 on the Leaderboard

Astral Force

Unlock Shadow King’s Red Stars by collecting Astral Force. You can earn Astral Force from the Shadow King Trial Milestones, Shadow King Trial Leaderboards, and other upcoming activities in December 2024.

First Run Leaderboard

The first run of Shadow King's Trials features a Leaderboard, and you'll only need a run score of 100k to qualify. Make sure you climb the ranks and don't miss out on top rewards of 7 and 6 Yellow Star Shadow King Tokens, Astral Force, Crimson Gear, Teal Gear, and more.

Marvel Strike Force Shadow King Trials: Difficulties and Pacts

Customize your runs by selecting a difficulty from 1-15. Higher Run difficulties will narrow the character traits you can use, but they'll reward you with more points. You can earn additional points by activating Pacts, which can bolster enemies and hinder your teams.

Difficulties 5 and above will require the following traits:

• Mission 2: Illuminati
• Mission 6: Annihilators
• Mission 10: Your choice of characters from Missions 2 and 6.

Difficulties 11 and above will require the above teams at higher Star Levels, however, Captain Britain will have no Star requirement. We do recommend bringing him to the Star Level required of the other characters, but the choice is yours. Here are the requirements for non-Captain Britain characters:

• Difficulty 11 & 12: 5 Stars for Illuminati and Annihilators
• Difficulty 13, 14, and 15: 6 Stars for Illuminati and Annihilators
