Minion Prince in Clash of Clans: Stats, strategy, and more

Minion Prince in Clash of Clans is the latest addition to the game's Hero lineup (which also includes Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Royal Champion, and Grand Warden). This troop will be released alongside the new separate Giga Bomb Trap in the upcoming Town Hall 17 update. Debuting as the fifth Hero in the game, Minion Prince is specially designed to complement Dragons in the air-based attack strategies.

This article highlights further details of the Minion Prince in Clash of Clans.

Stats of Minion Prince in Clash of Clans

Players with a maxed-out Town Hall 16 will receive a level 70 Minion Prince in the upcoming update. He will boast 4098 Hit Points and 656 Damage Per Second, which will increase to 5358 HP and 750 DPS at level 90. Additionally, his health recovery will improve with each level.

For comparison, Minion Prince has 2,000 more HP than Archer Queen at her max level (100). However, the Queen has a slight edge in DPS, leading to distinct roles in battle. While Archer Queen excels in solo operations, Minion Prince is better suited as a supportive damage dealer in air-heavy strategies.

Strategy for using Minion Prince in Clash of Clans

Minion Prince is highly effective in air attacks — dealing damage and providing strategic utility. Its primary role is to support the main army, rather than operating independently like Archer Queen or Barbarian King.

Here are the key considerations while using Minion Prince:

  • Avoiding solo deployment: Minion Prince is highly vulnerable to Seeking Air Mines when deployed alone. Supporting it with Druids (or healers) might help, but it exposes the Druids to ground defenses, making the approach less effective.
  • Funnel creation: In air attacks involving Dragons or other flying troops, Minion Prince can be used alongside Barbarian King or Royal Champion for funneling. This ensures the main force moves efficiently through the base.
  • Exploiting Hero synergies: Grand Warden's Eternal Tome pairs well with Minion Prince’s Dark Orb ability, providing invulnerability while slowing defenses. Archer Queen’s Giant Arrow and Healer Puppet also complement Minion Prince, enabling better pathing and defense sniping.
  • Recommended pet for air attacks: Equipping Angry Jelly enhances Minion Prince’s survivability during air raids, allowing it to stay close to Dragons and maximize its damage output.

Minion Prince starts with two base equipment pieces:

  • Henchman Puppet: This Clash of Clans Hero Equipment allows Minion Prince to spawn two "henchmen" Minions with 2,500 HP and 15 DPS at max level. They serve as bodyguards, absorbing damage and supporting Minion Prince in attacks.
  • Dark Orb: Minion Prince in Clash of Clans uses this ability to exert long-ranged attacks, damaging and slowing down defenses by 50% for 18 seconds. With a range of 18 tiles, this ability is perfect for freezing clusters of defenses, much like the Queen's Giant Arrow.
