FAU-G Domination set to bring a revolutionary experience to Indian mobile gaming
Sportskeeda’s Arhaan Raje had a fruitful interaction with both the co-founders of DOT 9 GAMES and managed to gather some crucial information ahead of FAU-G Domination's scheduled launch in late 2024 or early 2025. The exact date is yet to be officially confirmed at the time of writing this article.
In Arhaan’s conversation with Deepak and Srinivasan, they answered a wide range of questions:
Q1) What can fans expect to be the highlight of the game?
Deepak Ail: The absolute highlight would be the real-time multiplayer, realistic-feeling military game that will be coming out of India. The whole idea was to create something very realistic, which is multiplayer and resonates with the user. Everybody must have played as a US Cadet and other characters but never as the Indian Military. So, I think the whole experience is about valor, bravery, and what the soldiers go through. The idea was to showcase the journey of Indian Soldiers, which started as a single-player story narrative and we have now compressed that into a TDM. So you may not find the narrative here but it is a quick and fast multiplayer game that plays well right now.
Q2) What, in your opinion, will be the biggest drive for players to switch over to FAU-G Domination from competitors?
Deepak Ail: The switch has to happen on quality, there is no denying that. Although everybody has started playing games now, they have missed the whole console scene since it was missing in India. So I think that everyone has been playing top-notch games and you need to provide a top-notch game. But now that it has remained a top-notch game even with the content change - that is what will make people want to play this game. However, if you are not going to hit that benchmark of quality, I don’t think they will give you a chance. Because the experience of people consuming content or games in India has become top-class. We can’t compare with Call of Duty which is 20 years old, and PUBG which is 10 years old - things have evolved. Our thing will also evolve but you cannot say that give me a chance because I am an Indian. That thing will not work.
Q3) A total of 6 game modes seems to be planned for now. How many more can fans expect?
Srinivasan Veeraraghavan: So we have three modes. That’s what is primarily in the game right now - baked into the game. We will keep adding more as keep balancing stuff towards the launch because it is like a live operation game. We will keep on adding more content, characters, weapons, and everything. We will also add new events and tournaments. So currently three modes to start with - the classic TDM match, Arms Race, and the Sniper mode. You can play these modes in multiple configurations - 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5.
Apart from all of this, we also have a Sandbox or a Custom Game - where you can configure the game to your preference. So you can increase the game’s speed to up to 3 times and move really fast. You can customize how many kills you want or even set a time limit. It’s kind of like a Sandbox environment for shooters.
Deepak Ail: One thing I would like to add to this is that the way we are looking at it is we want to keep it accessible, which is why there is a custom mode. Because we want to give people a choice. We are in a market where people just don’t play one BR, they play multiple shooters. And if we give people a choice, it allows us to have a wider audience. We think in this way we can expand the market and get more people to play games.
