Pioneer in Reverse 1999 is an upcoming 3-star Arcanist who will debut in the version 2.0 update. Timekeepers don’t have to summon any banner to get this Arcanist. Instead, Bluepoch will give him as a reward from the sub-event of "Floor it to the Golden City," i.e., the game's main event. He has Spirit Afflatus, belongs to the Sub-DPS class, and deals Mental damage to enemies.

Pioneer can gain different buffs based on his position on the battlefield. He can give a Shield to an ally, increase their critical rate, critical damage, damage, and more.

How to get Pioneer in Reverse 1999

Timekeepers can get Pioneer in Reverse 1999 by participating in the Alleyway Graffiti sub-event. Unlock it by clearing chapter FT.22 of Floor It to the Golden City. After that, access the sub-event by clicking the restaurant icon on the right side of the event map. Then, you'll reach Tang’s Restaurant, where you'll see a graffiti wall recording the events that happened in the restaurant.

After watching the past events on the graffiti wall, return to the event map and clear the stages. Then, return to the graffiti wall and paint the parts unlocked by clearing stages. Timekeepers can receive rewards, including 3-star Pioneer and Tang’s Restaurant event building.

Here an overview of Pioneer's skills in Reverse 1999:

• Competitive Differentiation (Basic Skill 1): He deals Mental damage to a single target and moves three spaces forward after attacking. Pioneer moves one step with a one-star card, two with a two-star card, and three with a three-star card.
• To Future Business (Basic Skill 2): Pioneer enters the Taunt status, which reflects the damage he takes. He also increases his Reality and Mental defense and moves three spaces backward. The Arcanist moves one step with a one-star card, two with a two-star card, and three with a three-star card.
• Bridge the Gap (Ultimate Skill): Pioneer buffs one ally, giving it a Shield based on his HP. He swaps his position with the ally, granting it a Roving Salesman buff with an increased duration that matches the ally’s position.

Pioneer’s passive skill or Inheritance is Roving Salesman. At Insight I, he gains a buff based on where he’s standing. The Arcanist receives the Hot Deal buff at the foremost position, Promotional Damage at the second position, Risk Management at the third, and After-Sales Service at the backmost position.

At Insight 2, he receives the Damage Taken Reduction buff while entering the battle. Since Pioneer is a 3-star rarity, upgrade him to only two Insight levels.

Pioneer in Reverse 1999 is not a must-build, but you can build him for farming stages. Although he can fit in any team, he pairs excellently with the Plant Afflatus Arcanist, Avgust. His Insight I’s buffs are his biggest strength.

Since he is a 3-star rarity character, don’t spend many resources to upgrade his Insight level to 2. Additionally, it won’t be hard to max out his portray levels. Building him is entirely dependent on players’ choices. Using him as his kit is fun to play.
