This is done using the Normal Acceleration button, which is free, or the Safe Acceleration icon, which costs 60 UC. Doing so yields +1 Speed Boost, +2 Speed Boost, or 0 Speed Boost. Note that Normal Acceleration can yield negative Speed Boosts, degrading players in the tier.
Although Safe Acceleration doesn't yield negative Speed Boosts, its price increases as you climb up the reward track — it can go up to over 5000 UC. Lastly, once you collect six successful Speed Boosts and complete the prize path, you receive three Lucky Medal McLaren cards.
