Rainbow Six Mobile to reset player profiles and rank data, here's why

Rainbow Six Mobile has just announced that players will get their profiles and rank data reset soon. This means that everyone who has participated in the playtest will get their accounts reset, encouraging them to begin from scratch once the game releases globally. This game has witnessed a limited launch so far in Chile, Mexico, Canada, and Colombia.

However, not everything you have unlocked up until now will be deleted during the account reset. This article explains what features, operators, and progression levels will be safe from the purge.

Operators, cosmetics, and mastery progression will be unaffected

Although Rainbow Six Mobile will go through a soft reboot by resetting all player accounts and rank data, you will be allowed to retain all the operators you have unlocked along with their weapon and character cosmetics. Your account's overall mastery progression will also remain untouched.

So, if you were busy grinding this game, you will retain everything you have unlocked from the Season Ice Storm battle pass once Rainbow Six Mobile launches globally.

Reasons behind Rainbow Six Mobile's global launch delay

The Rainbow Six Mobile developers talked about the game's global launch delay in the comment section of the same X post. Although they went ahead with their plan of a soft launch on November 12, 2024, the devs believe that the title still needs a few more optimization tweaks to make it ready for the global launch. They have also talked about adding more regions during the testing process.

“We don't have a release date, yet. We'll add more regions as we progress our testing phases!”

This means that Ubisoft will launch this game in several other regions for further playtesting and player feedback. They will then take some time to implement this feedback into the game, which might delay the launch further.

Do note that Ubisoft has yet to confirm the global release date of Rainbow Six Mobile.
