Rainbow Six Mobile soft launch: New Operator, revamped Battle Pass, Boosters, and more

The highly anticipated Rainbow Six Mobile soft launch is back, bringing thrilling updates set to elevate your Rainbow Six experience. Ubisoft has announced it will resume the soft launch of the FPS title next week. After a seven-month-long hiatus, the game is set to reintroduce itself with the addition of a brand new operator, a revamped battle pass filled with exclusive rewards, and innovative gameplay boosters.

We detail the major upcoming updates to the Rainbow Six Mobile soft launch.

Rainbow Six Mobile soft launch: New Operator

The roadmap for Rainbow Six Mobile mentioned its soft launch will be conducted through a series of phases. The first phase of the soft launch will start with the Technical Test phase which will launch the latest season of Rainbow Six Mobile called Season Ice Storm.

The new season will introduce a new Operator called Buck. He will join the Rainbow Six Mobile roster as an Attacker with the launch of the Ice Storm Battle Pass. His unique gadget, the Skeleton Key, is an under-barrel shotgun that allows him to breach soft walls and create quick entrances.

Equipped with the C8-SFW Assault Rifle, SDP 9mm Handgun, and a Frag Grenade, Buck is a versatile operator ideal for aggressive gameplay.

The revamped Battle Pass features an enhanced in-game economy with more cosmetics, Prime Boosters, and Renown. New operators will be exclusively available on the premium track at launch, unlocking at the first tier. After the season ends, they can be unlocked using Renown (in-game currency) or Platinum.

Rainbow Six Mobile soft launch: Boosters

Mastery Tokens have been removed and will be replaced by Boosters. As the name suggests, these give players instant Operator XP to help them progress faster through mastery tracks. They can be earned through progression tracks or purchased in the shop.

There are two types of boosters:

  • XP Booster: get XP progression for a random Operator
  • Prime Booster: get an XP Booster for the Operator of your choice

As for Tickets and Operator unlock progress, players who had Mastery Tokens in their inventory before the update will be compensated with Renown.

Rainbow Six Mobile soft launch: Menu navigation

To reduce in-game downtime, players can now navigate menus while searching for a match, allowing them to edit loadouts, browse the shop, and claim rewards. Additionally, the new Easy Team-up feature suggests nearby or recently played teammates, making it easier to form a full squad before queuing.

Ubisoft is committed to enhancing player engagement and satisfaction by ensuring a neat and clean gaming experience for players. Prepare for intense tactical gameplay as you strategize with friends and dominate the battlefield like never before.
