Reverse 1999 J build guide: Skills explanation

Here are the skills details of J in Reverse 1999:

  • Hardness Testing (Basic Skill 1): It is a one-target attack that deals 180%/270%/450% damage with one/two/three-star cards. Additionally, he inflicts two Burn stacks to the enemies and grants a 1% damage-dealt buff to all allies per Burn stack on himself for two rounds.
  • Heat Treating (Basic Skill 2): He grants a Shield to all allies with HP equal to 100%/150%/250% of his attack using one/two/three-star cards. The shield remains active for two rounds. Each Burn stack inflicted on the character increases the shield’s HP by 3%. When an ally with a shield is attacked, J ripostes with Tempering.
  • Over The Haight Street (Ultimate Skill): He deals 350% damage to all enemies with the Ultimate Skill. The Arcanist inflicts the Burn stacks on the enemies equal to the Burn stacks on himself right before attacking. He doesn’t gain Burn stacks from the Ultimate Skill. This skill also deals an additional 10% Reality damage for every excess Burn stack on the main target.

J’s status effects explanation

  • Burn: It reduces the Healing Taken by 15%, and the enemies take Genesis damage equal to 4% of the Arcanist’s attack at the round’s end. The Burn effect can stack up to 30 times and removes 50% of the available stacks while triggering.
  • Tempering: This status effect deals 30% Reality damage to all enemies. It also inflicts two Burn stacks and deals an additional 10% damage for every 10% HP missing on the Arcanist.
