Jaguar TCS Formula E team boss says Hyderabad is a track "the whole team has been looking forward to"

Jaguar TCS Formula E team principal James Barclay revealed the excitement of the whole team at the Hyderabad E Prix.

The Briton believes that with the Tata connection, the inaugural Indian race will be a home record for them to which the team is looking forward to.

Speaking ahead of the Hyderabad FE event, Barclay said:

“Ever since the 2023 race calendar was announced, Hyderabad has been one of the tracks that the whole team has been looking forward to. The next three race locations are new in Formula E and we enjoy the challenge of new circuits as a team."
"Hyderabad is a new opportunity for our drivers and engineers to take on and importantly it’s also a home race for Tata and our title partner, TCS. It means a huge amount to us as a proud part of the Tata Group to race in India.”

With Tata Group owning the Jaguar automotive division, along with TCS as its title partner, the Hyderabad E Prix has become a home race for the Jaguar TCS Formula E team. Barclay revealed that the team has been looking forward to the Indian circuit ever since it was confirmed on the calendar.

While it’s a new street racing circuit, along with its own challenges, the event is becoming one of the first global events to kick-start the 2023 motorsport calendar in the country. Jaguar TCS announce a new partner of the Hyderabad Formula E race

Jaguar TCS team principal James Barclay announced AERO Sustainable Material Technology as their new partner ahead of the Hyderabad race. The American company will be providing sustainable livery solutions to the British Formula E team.

CEO of AERO, James E. McGuire Jr. believes they will be able to provide Jaguar with more lightweight performance, durable and sustainable livery solutions.

Announcing the new partnership in a press release, Barclay said:

“We are also pleased to announce our new partnership with AERO ahead of this weekend, and we’re immensely excited to be racing with a partner focused on performance but also setting new benchmarks in sustainability.”

Looking forward to the partnership with Jaguar TCS racing, McGuire Jr. said:

For the Jaguar TCS racing team, the Hyderabad E Prix will be a battle on home ground with another Indian-owned team, Mahindra Racing. After the departure of the Formula 1 Indian GP, the Hyderabad Formula E race will be the first global motorsport event held on Indian shores.

The sprawling street circuit alongside the famous Hussain Sagar lake will host the fourth round of the calendar scheduled from February 10-11, 2023.
