Lando Norris’ father reposts “date night” video of McLaren driver on track

Lando Norris' father, Adam Norris, hilariously reposted a 'date night' reel from an Instagram influencer. The post was of a date where a couple were sitting in a car and watching Norris race at the British GP.

Norris had an eventful race in Silverstone. He was in contention to win the race against Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull's Max Verstappen. However, due to poor pitstop strategy by McLaren, he was unable to catch both drivers and had to settle for P3.

A week after the British GP, an Instagram influencer named Rebecca Watkinson posted a reel about her potential next date night. The clip was of her sitting with her partner in a car as they watched Norris race the British GP.

Norris' father interestingly reposted the entire clip on his Instagram account.

Lando Norris' father delighted after his son bagged his first F1 race win

Lando Norris' father, Adam shared his thoughts after his son won his first F1 race at Miami. The British driver was initially in P6 when the race started, but soon crept up the grid and took the lead. He managed to maintain the lead after a safety car came out, giving himself a free pitstop and fresh hard tires to go till the end.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Adam Norris talked about how it wasn't just the 110 F! races but also the many junior races that his son went through to reach this point. He also mentioned how parents of other F1 drivers also congratulated him for his Lando's first victory.

“[It’s] been a long time coming – I think everyone is saying it! No, it’s been amazing, you’ve seen 110 [Grands Prix] but I was working it out, it’s probably about 900 races I’ve been to over the last 16 years, it’s been a long time but it’s there, we got there," Adam Norris said. (via F1.com)
“It’s beautiful, the other dads – I’ve just had Lewis’s dad give me a text. We’ve been through a lot and it’s interesting knowing the other parents, how many hours you put in supporting them. I counted out 350 weekends away, and then all the other races on those weekends but it’s brilliant, I love it. I’m so happy for him,” he added.

After the 2024 F1 British GP, Lando Norris is in second place in the drivers' championship table with 171 points. He continues to fight off third-placed Charles Leclerc (150 points) and fourth-placed Carlos Sainz (146 points). Meanwhile, the British driver is also trying to close the gap with Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who leads the table with 255 points.
