Alex Bowman’s girlfriend Chloe Henderson turns heads in chic all-black outfit following NASCAR finale
Chloe Henderson, girlfriend of Cup Series driver Alex Bowman, showed up to Sunday's Cup Series season finale at the Phoenix Raceway in style. Henderson posed for a picture alongside her boyfriend in an all-black outfit prior to the start of Sunday's 312-lap event.
In a picture shared to her personal Instagram story, Henderson stands next to Bowman and his #48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. The girlfriend of the driver is wearing a black top with black pants, a pair of sunglasses and a pair of black sneakers to complete the fit. Henderson's two-word caption was a reference to Sunday being the final race of the season, writing:
"last one"
Bowman wheeled his way to a 14th-place finish in Sunday's season finale. The finish capped off a year of ups and downs for the Arizona native. Earlier this year, Bowman snapped a two-year winless drought when he scored a victory in the Chicago Street Race, just the second time the Cup Series circuit has ran on the course.
The win clinched Bowman a spot in the playoffs, and he proceeded to go on a solid postseason run before being eliminated. The 31-year-old scored more points than any other playoff driver in the opening Round of 16, including a fifth-place at Atlanta.
In the final race of the Round of 18, the HMS driver initially made it through to the next round after an 18th-place finish at the Charlotte Roval. However, Bowman was disqualified after his car failed post-race inspection for not meeting minimum weight requirements. Therefore, he was given an automatic last-place finish, which bumped him out of the playoffs and moved Joey Logano in. Logano took full advantage of the opportunity to win his third Cup Series championship on Sunday at Phoenix.
Bowman ended the season ninth in the final standings and posted eight top-fives.
Alex Bowman was recently applauded by Kevin Harvick for his mental toughness
Retired NASCAR champion Kevin Harvick took notice of Alex Bowman's mental strength throughout a trying 2024 season. In an episode of the Happy Hour podcast from last month, the 2014 Cup Series champion acknowledged the highs and lows Bowman has had to endure this season.
Between breaking a two-year winless drought, to rumors that he wouldn't be back with Hendrick Motorsports in 2025, to being eliminated from the playoffs due to a disqualification, Harvick said the driver of the #48 HMS car has been through it all.
"When you think about it from Alex Bowman's standpoint, what a year," Harvick said (43:30). "With talking about losing his job, getting thrown out of the playoffs after you make the playoffs, all the things that he's had to mentally go through, the guy's obviously pretty mentally tough, because he went to Vegas this week and ran well and showed up to perform and did what he was supposed to do from his standpoint. What a tough position to be in from a driver's standpoint, to have to deal with everything that he's dealt with this year and still go out on the racetrack and perform."
Bowman will be back behind the wheel of the #48 car in 2025 for his eighth full-time season at HMS. Harvick, meanwhile, will return to the FOX Sports NASCAR broadcast team for his second season since retiring from Cup Series competition at the end of 2023.
