"Caitlin Clark; bigger than WNBA": Chase Elliott, Noah Gragson make feelings known about the GOAT title in sports

Recently, a few NASCAR drivers came together to share their two cents on the Greatest of All Time(GOAT) athlete in sports. While HMS driver Chase Elliott chose an NFL superstar as the GOAT, Noah Gragson took two names and shared an interesting take that checked his boxes.

The Stewart-Haas Racing driver Gragson started his byte by taking legend golfer Tiger Woods' name. Additionally, the 26-year-old mentioned the most decorated swimmer and Olympic medalist Michael Phelps.

The #10 SHR driver also addressed WNBA star Caitlin Clark as the GOAT in her field. Gragson believes that the Indiana Fever point guard has become an icon because of her accolades at the collegiate basketball level.

"Even Caitlin Clark, she's a goat. She's been able to be bigger than basketball, women's basketball. So I look at people like that who check every box," said Gragson via NASCARonNBC on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Daniel Hemric chose NBA legend Michael Jordan as the GOAT. The Kaulig Racing driver mentioned Jordan's game-winning shots and said:

"I feel like back against the wall, he[Jordan] hits, you know, game-winning shots, you know, must-win series."

Meanwhile. Elliott and Zane Smith picked NFL legend Tom Brady as the GOAT in sports.

"We're all in a good place" : Chase Elliott makes his feeling known in a must-win situation ahead of Martinsville race

Chase Elliott has only a single win this season but has consistently delivered impressive performances every weekend.

Following a DNF in Las Vegas, Elliott bounced back with a top-five finish in Homestead-Miami and is optimistic about the upcoming Round of 8 race at Martinsville Speedway.

In a recent media interaction, Elliott expressed his belief in himself and his #9 Chevy team. He said:

"I just feel good about where we’re at. I think we’ve run really well the last two weeks. Thought our team was operating at an extremely high level last weekend across the board, so great time to be doing that. I think we’re all in a really good place, I’m in a good place with everything. Yeah, just proud of how we’ve been running. We’ve been right in the thick of it, and right in the mix."

It's worth noting that Rick Hendrick's star driver won the final 2020 Martinsville race, a pivotal moment on his journey to securing the championship title. Elliott added:

“You know when you’re giving yourself those opportunities I think why wouldn’t you be confident coming to a place that we have been able to run well at before, and you know, even more so leaving two places we have not run well at historically and came off two good weekends. So, yeah, I’m really looking forward to it just ready to get going and get to work.”
