Daniel Suarez’s playful remark raises eyebrows in response to Bubba Wallace’s photo with his son
NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suarez jokingly took a jab at Bubba Wallace's looks after his post with newborn son, Becks Hayden.
Wallace and his wife Amanda welcomed their first child on September 29 this year. The 31-year-old started dating Amanda, a former financial analyst, in 2016. The couple got married on New Year’s Eve in 2022 and continue to share pictures of their son on social media.
On Thursday, December 19, Wallace shared a selfie with Becks on Instagram and wrote:
"When everything is right in life."
Trackhouse Racing's Suarez later commented on the picture and said:
"You sure is yours!? He’s good looking."
Wallace then replied:
"Jury is still out on that brother."
Meanwhile, Wallace's 23XI Racing team also had a big legal win this Wednesday after it was granted a preliminary injunction. 23XI, who filed an anti-trust lawsuit with Front Row Motorsports against NASCAR over the 2025 charter agreements in October, can now compete in the Cup Series as a chartered team.
The new court ruling also allows 23XI to purchase a charter from Stewart Haas Racing for a third car next season.
"It's been fun figuring it out every day, because every day is something new" - Bubba Wallace on fatherhood
Bubba Wallace had to see the birth of his son on FaceTime. Wallace's wife, Amanda went into labor while he was away for the Cup Series playoffs race in Kansas. He could not make it back in time and viewed the birth on FaceTime.
Wallace met Becks at the hospital and later said fatherhood brings "something new" every day.
"It's been fun. He's now a few weeks old, and he's been a blessing. People always ask, 'Are you ready?' before your kid gets here, and you're like, 'I don't know.' And I can in fact say no, we were not ready. But it's been fun figuring it out every day, because every day is something new," Wallace said (via people.com).
Wallace drives the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE for 23XI Racing. He missed the playoffs this year and ended the season in 18th place in the final playoffs standings with six top-10 finishes.
A spin at the Chicago Street Race cost him a $50,000 fine for bumping Alex Bowman’s car. Wallace also lost points and was fined $100,000 for manipulating the Martinsville playoff race in November.
He signed a multi-year extension of his contract with 23XI in September and will compete in the Cup Series next season with new crew chief, Charles Denike.
