"Do we get to keep the booty too?" - Tony Stewart's wife Leah Pruett humorously responds to pregnancy body changes in an IG story
Tony Stewart's wife, Leah Pruett, recently shared a humorous Instagram story about how pregnancy has changed her body. The couple is preparing to welcome their baby boy in November, and are excited to enter a new phase of their lives as parents.
Pruett, the 12x NHRA Top Fuel race winner, is embracing her baby bump before welcoming her baby boy into the world in the coming weeks. She also made a hilarious comment on how a women's butt size increases during pregnancy, playfully asking if she gets to keep the "booty" along with her baby after birth.
Sharing an Instagram reel uploaded by Meaghan Ranee on October 28, Pruett wrote on her Instagram stories:
"We know we get to keep the baby. Do we get to keep the booty too?"
Pruett and Stewart recently celebrated a baby shower in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, surrounded by friends and family. Sharing snaps from the event, Pruett reflected on her wild pregnancy journey and mentioned that she is expecting their baby anytime between four days and four weeks.
"very blessed to have @darlapants and @kjnhra_ throw us a gorgeous West Coast baby shower with our Havasu friends and family to attend. Lil boy will be the first great grand child on my side (finally lol), and we couldn’t be more ready for him join us. Pregnancy is wild. Could be 4 days, 4 weeks… we’ll see!" the caption on her Instagram post read.
Tony Stewart on how wife Leah Pruett is the "concrete foundation" of their parenthood journey
In a recent interview with Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart admitted that he is "scared to death" about becoming a father and the responsibilities that come with it. The soon-to-be dad expressed his concern, saying he "can barely take care of himself" and has little knowledge about how to handle kids.
Stewart added that he plans to learn on the go and completely trusts his wife, Leah Pruett, to take the lead in their parenting journey. He described Pruett as a solid foundation, emphasizing that she wouldn't be fazed by any adversity.
"I guess you just learn as you go as what everybody says… Leah kind of jokes around about it because I get stressed out. My wife is like a concrete foundation," he said [from 15:34]
"Nothing phases her… She’s just ready to rip. Ready for the kid to come and ready to be a parent. I’m like the Marx Brothers on the other side. You know, ‘woohoo,’ and jumping around.. Don’t know where we’re going."
Stewart also added that he's been fortunate to watch his friends Kevin Harvick and DeLana raise two kids and has learned valuable lessons from their journey.
