“Had a slight heart attack”: Bubba Wallace’s wife Amanda hilariously jibes at her husband after his helmets attracted ‘boys’ attention
23XI Racing team's driver, Bubba Wallace, recently encountered a funny moment when his nephews came to meet him. The kids asked the Cup Series driver to play with his helmets and Wallace's wife Amanda shared the picture of the wholesome moment on her social media.
In the Instagram story posted by Amanda on October 20, three kids were seen wearing the #23 driver's helmets, as the 23XI driver placed his hands on their heads and struck a pose.
"Uncle @bubbawallace had a slight heart attack when the boys wanted to "play" with his helmets."
Notably, crafting NASCAR helmets incurs huge cost and in a conversation with former driver Kenny Wallace in March 2024, retailer Greg Stumpff discussed the fiances behind designing a helmet.
Stumpff mentioned the Cup Series helmets alone cost more than $2,000, and these designs can take up to 30 to 40 hours to complete one piece. He added:
"It just really depends. Every once in a while we’ll do $650, $850. Our Cup helmets are well over $2000 so it just depends on honestly how much work, 30 to 40 hours and I have a whole team of 4 artists here and this is how they make a living. It’s not a hobby for anybody here so. I think when that comes in mind, it’s like oh this guy is not doing it out of his garage, they’re using top-of-the-line paint and nice, clear coats." [01:54]

23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace's wife Amanda is known for staying active on social media sharing every minute detail about her son with her fans. Last month, on September 29, 2024, the couple became parents and welcomed their son Becks Hayden to the world.
Amanda Wallace recently shared a picture of Gucci boots she received as a gift for her son. She shared the image on her Instagram story with a hilarious caption and wrote:
"Leave it to @gassigirl to make my child more boujee than me."
The couple revealed the news about their pregnancy on Instagram in April 2024. They highlighted that their baby would be born in October 2024 and dropped regular updates on Amanda Wallace's Instagram handle.
Becks Hayden was born on September 29, 2024, and Bubba Wallace wrote:
"Amanda and I would like to introduce you to Becks Hayden! We were blessed with his presence Sunday 9/29. 9 months of waiting on this little guy, he’s made it all worth it! So excited for this journey!"
On the racing side of things, Bubba Wallace is currently 18th in the Cup Series standings, with 823 points to his name so far. The 31-year-old had successive Top-10 finishes in the last two races, namely the Bank of America Roval 400 and the YellaWood 500.
