“I'm so disconnected” - Noah Gragson hopes for ‘stability’ with Front Row Motorsports amid the antitrust lawsuit battle
Noah Gragson has been unable to provide his insight into the ongoing legal battle between his team, Front Row Motorsports and NASCAR. After not reaching a charter agreement for 2025, FRM and 23XI Racing sued NASCAR and its CEO Jim France last October, accusing the sport of monopolistic practices.
Racing insider Matt Weaver recently sat down with the 26-year-old to discuss his future with FRM in an article via Sportsnaut. The journalist shared the article on social media, but clarified that the Las Vegas native did not speak with clarity on the case.
"Noah Gragson couldn't tell me anything about Front Row's legal situation because he says he is genuinely disconnected from it in Vegas," Weaver wrote via X. "He did break some crew chief and staffing news to me though. He's excited to build a long term home there."
Gragson was quoted saying he isn't hiding anything, but is genuinely unsure about the legal situation. However, the former driver of the #10 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford believes they're going to run a full Cup Series slate in 2025.
“I am so disconnected,” Gragson said. “I’m probably not the guy to ask but I do feel confident we’re going to race. I’m not the most educated guy on what’s going on with the lawsuit and I’m not even just saying that because you’re recording me right now. Like, I have no idea what’s going on and I just do what I’m told.”
Noah Gragson said he was "proud" of his 2024 season at Stewart-Haas Racing
Noah Gragson moved to Stewart-Haas Racing ahead of the 2024 season to pilot the #10 Ford. He finished the season 24th in the points standings and registered seven top 10 finishes.
Gragson told Weaver he was proud of staying locked in through the entire season, adding that it takes a lot.
“I felt it was a good season just because I was able to experience that full grind, 38 weeks and felt like I did a good job with that,” Gragson said. “It takes a lot to stay focused and keep executing over 38 weeks and I was able to stay focused and motivated, didn’t let my mind wander off and kept to the routine. I’m proud of that."
SHR ceased operations at the conclusion of the 2024 campaign after 16 full-time seasons in the Cup Series. The team fielded four full-time cars, last driven by Gragson, Chase Briscoe, Josh Berry, and Ryan Preece.
Gragson will wheel a Front Row Motorsports car in 2025, although the number and sponsor for the machine are yet to be announced. He'll be teammates with Todd Gilliland, who drives the #38 FRM car.
