“It was the best week”: Todd Gilliland’s wife Marissa makes her feelings known about ‘dream’ room honeymoon
Todd Gilliland's wife Marissa shared a throwback picture on her Instagram from their honeymoon last year, calling it the 'best week' they had. She had previously called that honeymoon a 'dream.'
Todd Gilliland proposed to Marissa Holmes in the Bahamas in December 2021. A year later, the two got married at the same venue. However, their honeymoon was seemingly delayed as they went for it later in the year during November of 2023. Recently, Marissa Gilliland shared a throwback picture of the home they had stayed at during the period. The picture showed her calling it a 'dream.'
"Our home for the week. This room is my DREAM!"
Resharing the picture back on her story after a year, she called the couple's honeymoon the 'best week' they had.
"Can't believe we were on honeymoon a year ago!!! It was the best week."
During their honeymoon last year, Todd Gilliland also shared pictures, mentioning that he loved every minute of it with his wife despite their plans getting delayed.
"Delayed Honeymoon ❤️🥵 Loved every minute with @marissagilliland_ 🫶🏻"

The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation works for underfunded cancers and helps children in need through funds and donations. They organized an event this September, called "Catwalk for a Cause," which helped in raising funds. Both Todd and Marissa Gilliland were present at the event and walked the runway.
"Got to take on the runway with our hero Miya last night #catwalkforacause is such an amazing event each year. @mtjfoundation @sherrystrongoc do so much for these children and we’re so grateful to be just a little part of it," Marissa wrote on Instagram.
Todd Gilliland debuted in the Cup Series in the 2022 season with Front Row Motorsports and shared the seat on a part-time deal with Zane Smith in the following season, he also had a contract with Rick Ware Racing for five races.
In 2023, he returned to the team and had a visible improvement in his racecraft and overall pace. The team then signed a multi-year contract with him.
"I want to be at Front Row Motorsports, and I want to be a part of what’s happening right now," Gilliland said in a statement. "This is the time to join as a partner, a fan, and watch our next chapter. It’s really cool to see it all happening, and I have to thank Bob Jenkins and Jerry Freeze for their commitment in taking the steps to make us a consistent winning and playoff organization. It’s never easy, but I feel confident in our direction. I’m excited to see what the future holds."
Gilliland finished the 2024 season in 22nd place with 630 points on board. The 24-year-old amassed four Top-10 finishes, with his best performance being a sixth-place finish at the Brickyard 400, which took place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
