Kelley Earnhardt drops three-word reaction to Dale Jr.'s business move with Texas Roadhouse
Kelley Earnhardt Miller shared her thoughts on Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s new marketing move with an American steakhouse chain. NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Jr. and Amy Earnhardt own a handcrafted vodka company, High Rock Vodka, in partnership with Sugarlands Distilling Company.
In a recent social media post, JR Motorsports co-owner Kelley urged fans on Instagram to try "Dale Yeah," an orange juice cocktail combined with Junior's premium vodka brand at Texas Roadhouse. Dale Jr.'s sister, Kelley captioned the post by writing:
"Yummy! Let's go!"
After his full-time retirement from NASCAR, Dale Jr. ventured into the vodka business and created this premium brand in 2022. According to their website, they use a Lincoln County Process, which is distilled seven times before being filtered thrice, and processed through sugar maple charcoal to remove impurities. This process was made famous by Tennesee whiskeys.
Moreover, Dale Earnhardt Jr., with his family and friends in a joint Instagram post, shared a video montage of their visit to Texas Roadhouse on Instagram and wrote:
"We are so excited to announce that @highrockvodka is officially at @texasroadhouse !! Swing by grab some dinner and try the Dale Yeah! It’s absolutely delicious! Cheers!"
While this is not the only business venture that the 50-year-old Dale Jr. owns, the brother-sister duo also co-owns a successful Xfinity Series team, JR Motorsports.
"He's very much more involved in our business now,": Kelley Earnhardt reveals Dale Jr.'s involvement since his retirement
Kelley Earnhardt has been managing JR Motorsports since its inception in 2005 when Dale Earnhardt Jr. was more aggressively involved in competing in the NASCAR series. However, the times have changed since the two-time Daytona 500 winner's retirement in 2017.
In a conversation with veteran driver Kenny Wallace, Kelley revealed the sibling relationship with Dale Jr. when it comes to handling business in recent years.
"We probably had more situations where we disagreed in the last 10 or 15 years than we ever did. It's just simply because it's just not me and him anymore. There's just so many things that he is aware of in our business since he quit driving. He's very much more involved in our business."
Furthermore, Kelley added:
"I really upset him not too long ago because I said, and I didn't mean it in the way he took it, but I said the words, 'I ran this business for 25 years, I don't really need you.' I didn't mean that I didn't need him. He's the reason that I got to run the business. What I meant was, 'I've been making all these decisions, and if you wanna be a part of the situation, let's do it together, and if you don't, just stay home. I'll get this stuff done."
Kelley then highlighted that the sibling duo can get past these differences as they can talk about more such stuff with each other.
JR Motorsports currently fields four full-time Chevys in the Xfinity Series. Moreover, they secured their fourth Xfinity Series championship this year.
