Kelley Earnhardt, older sister of retired NASCAR superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr., took to social media to share a photo of her brother alongside country music sensation Luke Combs. The music artist has raised $24 million worth of funds to donate to hurricane relief.
Combs posted multiple photos from his recent concert at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, including one of himself and the two-time Daytona 500 champion. Kelley shared the post on her personal Instagram story.
The Bank of America Stadium shared a video via Instagram of Combs on stage explaining to those in attendance that the Carolina Panthers NFL franchise and other country music singers, including Eric Church, were donating all funds from the concert to those in need of hurricane relief in western North Carolina.
Amy Earnhardt, wife of Earnhardt Jr., shared the clip to her personal Instagram story, writing:
"These guys are so amazing. They raised over $24 million dollars ON THEIR OWN ACCORD for western NC. Thank you for all you've done!"
Combs said via Instagram that the North Carolina concert goes down as the proudest night of his career. He said being able to donate to a state that meant so much to him was an honor and made sure to thank everyone who helped raise money in an effort to help the victims of the recent hurricane.
"The list is long and if I missed anyone I apologize but you know who you are. We were able to raise 24.5 MILLION DOLLARS for the people of Western North Carolina and I’m so thankful and humbled to be able to be a part of that. There were countless friends, family, and neighbors there and you could truly feel the love in that stadium last night."
