Kyle Busch drops three-word message for son Brexton amid Chili Bowl debut announcement
Kyle Busch has dropped a three-word message for his son Brexton. The two-time Cup Series champion recently wrapped his 2024 Cup Series season and unveiled on November 14, that he'll debut in the Chili Bowl Nationals during the offseason.
NASCAR concluded its season following Joey Logano's triumph at the Phoenix Raceway. The Team Penske driver fought hard against his teammate Ryan Blaney to etch his third Cup Series title. Meanwhile, Richard Childress Racing's Busch ended his season disappointingly.
The #8 Chevy driver claimed two unwanted feats this year. Firstly, he failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2012. Secondly, he couldn't clinch a single win during the 36-race slate, marking his first winless season since debuting full-time in 2005.
Following the penultimate race weekend, Kyle Busch will observe the offseason blues with his latest partnership with FloSports. The veteran NASCAR driver will debut in the Chili Bowl Nationals, slate to run from January 13 to 18 next year, and will join the likes of Tony Stewart, Christopher Bell, and Kyle Larson.
Ahead of the imminent debut, Busch shared a clip of him conversing with Brexton about sprint car racing. The depiction showed the NASCAR champion dodging media questions about his sprint car racing throughout the season, which caused his kid to feel that his dad was 'scared.'
However, that's not the case and Kyle Busch aptly exhibited it with his three-word message.
"I'm not scared," Busch Tweeted.
Busch's sprint car racing campaign will include a rivalry with Brexton at the Tulsa Shootout from December 31 to January 4.
"Racing season is still in full swing": Kyle Busch opens up on his Chili Bowl announcement
Following the heartbreaking Cup Series season, Kyle Busch expressed his feelings on 2024 being the 'toughest year' of his racing career and ensured that RCR will work in the winter and come back stronger in 2025.
The preseason NASCAR clash at Bowman Gray Stadium will be held on February 2, and the regular season will begin at the Daytona International Speedway on the 16th. That said, nearly three months are at Busch's disposal to try his hand at other forms of four-wheel racing.
With that, NASCAR's winningest active driver, boasting 63 Cup wins, decided to join the list of over 300 drivers who have thus far contested in the Chili Bowl, following the sport's 30-year legacy.
“The Cup Season may be over, but the Racing season is still in full swing with the biggest events on dirt taking place over the next couple of months. The Chili Bowl is a legendary event and has always been on my wish-list. To be able to compete there, and then alongside my son Brexton at the Tulsa Shootout, is making this year one to remember,” Busch said of his imminent debut via NASCAR.
