Kyle Busch makes feeling known about when it's acceptable to play Christmas music
Kyle Busch has shared his thoughts on the ideal time to get in the mood for Christmas music. While some believe it should start now, the Richard Childress Racing driver took a firm stand and revealed when it would be acceptable.
During Dirty Mo Media's Andrew Kurland Went There segment, the host asked the two-time Cup Series champion Busch for his opinion about the "acceptable time to begin playing Christmas music." Busch believes it should start a day after Thanksgiving.
"I think Christmas music doesn't need to start until November 26th."
Moreover, Trackhouse Racing's Daniel Suarez was in the same boat as Busch and claimed it shouldn't start before the upcoming holiday ends. A few fans jumped in with their opinions on the same and suggested the music for Christmas should start already and the celebration should last for a month.
Furthermore, the video concluded with #8 Chevy driver Busch asking a rhetorical question.
"Are you going to play Christmas music at your Thanksgiving dinner?"
While the Las Vegas, native might be looking for some festival time after an underwhelming 2024 NASCAR season, he also has made plans to debut in a different discipline of motorsports racing.
Kyle Busch on why he's changed his mind about midget dirt car racing
NASCAR veteran driver Kyle Busch is set to compete in the Chili Bowl Nationals in January 2025, also known as the 'Super Bowl of midget racing'. As per reports, the 39-year-old will pilot #51 Lucas Oil/FloRacing midget.
Having competed in NASCAR's premier division for over two decades, the former Cup Series champion started his racing career in Legends Cars, followed by late-model stock cars, and eventually to NASCAR Truck Series. However, he never ventured into dirt tracks like many of his associates.
In a video on X (formerly Twitter), the 63-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner revealed his reason for debuting on the dirt track. He said:
"I feel like this year I decided to go run the Chili Bowl just with all the dirt racing and stuff that I've been doing the last couple of years with Brexton running in the Tulsa shootout the last couple of years. I've gotten my feet wet more and more with the realm of these cars. But first time really behind the wheel of a midget there So that's gonna be interesting." [0:01]
"But nothing competes or compares with the atmosphere and the size of the event and the way that the fans come out in droves," Kyle Busch added.
Additionally, Kyle Busch said that he will be seeking counsel and advice from two of his fellow Cup Series drivers.
