“You gotta go fast slow” - Kyle Busch on effective racing at Martinsville

Kyle Busch recently shed light on how to run a comfortable race at Martinsville Speedway. Martinsville is a 0.5-mile short oval track, where the Cup Series playoffs are headed for the Round of 8 finale.

Busch has visited Martinsville 38 times in his career, of which 17 times he has finished in the top five. In a recent episode of NASCAR's "Inside the Playoffs" podcast, Busch shared the best way to work the throttle and breaks, to have a decent chance at winning the race.

Busch said,

"You gotta go fast slow... I don't know...You're off the gas on the brakes or doing something more than just being wide open throttle for more of the lap there. That's when I finally started to figure out Martinsville. It wasn't just getting on the gas, 'how soon can I get on the gas?' It was like, 'Okay, how can I roll the best speed off throttle?'" The XFINITY 500 is scheduled for November 3 at 2:00 PM ET. Fans can catch the action live on NBC Sports, MRN, and the SiriusXM NASCAR channel.
