NASCAR showcases millionaire actor Omari Hardwick with Michael Jordan's stars Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick
Star actor Omari Hardwick paid a visit to Sunday's Cup Series playoff race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The actor, who's worth $5 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, posed for pictures with 23XI Racing drivers Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick.
The first photo shows Hardwick with his family alongside Reddick, while the second photo features him with his family and Wallace. The caption read:
"… and he picked a great race to see! @omarihardwickofficial #NASCAR #NASCARPlayoffs"
The caption was in reference to how Sunday's 267-lap event unfolded. Reddick wheeled his #45 23XI Racing Toyota to victory after he passed both Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney on the final lap.
Hamlin was leading with two laps left before Blaney passed him for the top spot. Then, Reddick moved past Hamlin in turns one and two on the last lap before passing Blaney in turns three and four for the victory. The win secured the 28-year-old a spot in this year's Championship 4 race, which takes place in two weeks at the Phoenix Raceway.
Michael Jordan, retired NBA legend and co-owner of 23XI Racing along with Hamlin, was watching on as his driver muscled his way to the win and grabbed a spot in the championship race. In his post-race interview with NBC Sports, the six-time NBA champion expressed how proud he was of the California native.
"Little kid drove his ass off," Jordan said. "I'm proud of him. He just let go [on the final lap]. He just went for it, and I'm glad. We needed it."
The win was Reddick's third of the season, having earlier registered wins at Talladega and Michigan. Reddick led 98 laps en route to victory and also earned the stage 1 win in the process. Wallace, meanwhile, placed second in the first stage but ultimately fell back to finish 18th in the final results.
Bubba Wallace congratulated Tyler Reddick on his monumental win
Bubba Wallace showed teammate Tyler Reddick some love after his thrilling victory that locked him into the Championship 4. The driver of the #23 23XI Racing Toyota took to X to share a video of him approaching his teammate to congratulate him on the win.
"On to the Champ 4 LFG," Wallace wrote.
While Reddick will be making his first career Championship 4 appearance and the first for 23XI Racing, Wallace, in turn, has struggled to find success this season. The Alabama native failed to make the 2024 playoffs after making his first appearance for them last year.
Wallace is currently riding a two-year winless streak, having last won at the Kansas Speedway in October 2022. He had also won 23XI Racing's first Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway back in October 2021.
