Noah Gragson delivers update on his lost helmet in the flight cabinet

Noah Gragson has shared an update on the helmet he lost during a flight to Charlotte. Gragson took to Instagram to announce that the helmet was back in his hands after it ended up all the way in Denver.

Gragson is a 26-year-old NASCAR Cup Series driver who previously drove for the now-discontinued Stewart-Haas Racing. After his final race with the team at Phoenix Raceway, he hopped on a flight to Charlotte but lost his helmet on American Airlines flight AA2336.

Fortunately, no one tried to sell the helmet, and it was returned to him. In an Instagram post, the Las Vegas native thanked American Airlines for coordinating the return of his helmet.

“We're so back!!! Thank you to American Airlines and everyone of you who have helped to get the helmet back! Was bummed last night pretty bad but so excited now,” Gragson wrote.

“Won't be letting this thing out of my sight”

The helmet in question was custom-made by Polen Designs Inc. It sported lots of chrome accents along with the Polen Design and NG (Noah Gragson) logos. The ex-SHR driver last used the helmet in the penultimate race at Martinsville Speedway where he drove the No. 10 Ford to a P11 finish.

For the 2025 season, Gragson will drive for Front Row Motorsports, with the car number yet to be announced. He will team up with Todd Gilliland and another driver for the new charter acquired from Stewart-Haas Racing.

"New Lid for Phoenix. Tribute helmet for @tsrsmoke turned out awesome! Excited to run this one in the final race for @stewarthaasracing! Designed by Polen Designs Inc., the tribute helmet featured Stewart’s IndyCar helmet design along with his Home Depot flamed motif with variegated gold leaf.

Gragson finished 12th at Phoenix Raceway after starting 21st on the field. He concluded his one-year run with Stewart-Haas Racing with one top-5 finish at Talladega Superspeedway and seven top-10 finishes.

As Gragson heads to Front Row Motorsports, Tony Stewart and his Stewart-Haas Racing team bid farewell to NASCAR. Stewart shifts his focus to the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) where he races dragsters capable of churning out 11,000 horsepower.

Stewart-Haas Racing has been rebranded as the Haas Factory Team. The new team downsized its Cup entries from four to one for the upcoming season. 2023 Xfinity Series champ Cole Custer will run the sole entry in the premier series, piloting the No. 41 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.
