Spire's Chase Purdy makes feelings clear on future uncertainty with no deals for 2025 ahead of last race weekend

Chase Purdy revealed on Tuesday that his future in NASCAR is uncertain after Spire Motorsports did not reach out to him for a contract extension even in the final race weekend. Purdy signed up for the Mooresville-based team in the Craftsman Truck Series earlier this year and is currently racing for them.

Spire Motorsports fields three Truck Series cars: one for Rajah Caruth, another for Chase Purdy, and the third driven by multiple drivers, including Cup Series and Xfinity Series names such as Kyle Busch, Corey LaJoie, Connor Zilisch, and Clint Bower, to name a few.

In addition, they field three cars in the Cup Series: Justin Haley, Zane Smith, and Carson Hocevar. With so many drivers at the helm and only a few rides available, the Jeff Dickerson and T.J. Puchyr-owned team has yet to extend the contract with Purdy.

Pointing this out, the #77 Truck Series driver took to X, and shared an update. He wrote:

"One final time this weekend. I don’t have any deals for next year, so this weekend will be everything I got! Either way I am very thankful and blessed for all the opportunities and great people I’ve got to work with and be around! Let’s go out strong."

In January, Spire Motorsports announced the signing of Purdy for the #77 Chevrolet Silverado for the 2024 Craftsman Truck Series. He joined veteran race engineer and crew chief Jason Trinchere.

Chase Purdy is currently placed 15th in the 2024 Truck Series standings with 488 points to his credit after 22 races. The Spire Motorsports man registered two Top-5s and six-Top 10s and suffered a DNF.

Notably, he claimed a pole this season at Kansas but unfortunately did not qualify for the playoffs. The 24-year-old's average start position was 12.136, whereas his average finish position was 17. Purdy led 20 laps during the ongoing season.

Purdy was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on November 11, 1999, but was raised in Meridian, Mississippi. He attended Lamar School and Cox Mill High School and is currently attending the University of Mississippi as a Junior.

He made his debut as a racing driver with go-karts and gradually moved to Bandolero, Super Late Model, and then the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. In 2017, he made his debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro East Series, and then the ARCA Menards Series East and ARCA Menards Series followed.

Chase Purdy debuted in the Truck Series in 2018 with the Texas Roadhouse 200 at Martinsville. He has raked in 93 races in six years and claimed three pole positions and 21 Top 10s.
