"Three different feelings"; "Holy crap": Denny Hamlin's fiancé Jordan and Christopher Bell's wife Morgan unfold their man's most memorable NASCAR win
NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin's fiancé Jordan Fish and Christopher Bell's wife Morgan Kemenah recently went on Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s DJD Reloaded podcast and opened up about their spouse's best wins. The interviewer asked the NASCAR ladies about the most memorable wins of Hamlin and Bell in their careers.
Jordan Fish didn't think twice and shared that all the Daytona 500 races were the most memorable wins. She mentioned that all three wins share a different story and emotion. Hamlin won his first Daytona 500 victory during the kickoff race of the 2016 season by outperforming his teammate Martin Truex Jr. by 0.10 seconds.
In 2019, Denny Hamlin won his second win at the Daytona 500. He secured his third victory in 2020 and became the fourth driver in NASCAR history to win back-to-back Daytona 500s. Jordan Fish recalled all the memories of Hamlin's wins and said:
"All three of them, now they're all three different feelings, like the first one with Martin, you know, being like, inches away, and how exciting that was. The second one was also kind of special. And then the one with Ryan Newman, you know, flipping. That was like, so, like, we could even, you know, you can't celebrate, right?"
Christopher Bell's wife, Morgan Kemenah, said that the 2022 Martinsville win was the one that has a special place in her heart. She highlighted that at that time, Bell needed a win desperately and was in a must-win situation. Somehow the #20 Toyota driver won the Xfinity 500 race, leading 150 laps, and his wife stated, recollecting the memories:
"We were in a must-win and did so we're just, like, going into the weekend kind of like, like, whatever, like, it probably it may not happen, like whatever, to the extreme high of, like, holy crap."
Kemenah added that she saw Bell's crew chief Adam Steven get emotional, which was a first for her. Denny Hamlin's fiancé, Jordan Fish, concluded and appreciated the team's ability to manage all this hard work.
Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell in the 2024 season NASCAR playoff
Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell, Joe Gibbs Racing drivers, are in the playoffs and aiming to secure their spot in the Championship 4 round. Only the Xfinity 500 race is left to secure their spot in the last round.
Bell currently ranks third in the playoff standings and has a 29-point buffer from the cutline, making a strong case for him to advance to the final round of playoffs at the Phoneix Raceway scheduled for November 3, 2024.
On the other hand, Denny Hamlin is in the bubble with other drivers, including Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, and Chase Elliott. He currently ranks sixth in the playoff standings. However, the #11 Toyota Camry driver has a slight advantage over other drivers. He has won at the Martinsville track five times. It'll be intriguing to see the drivers battle for the last spot on November 3, 2024.
