Tony Stewart's star Noah Gragson shares why he has a samurai sword, recently signed by millionaire Dave Portnoy
Noah Gragson touched upon the backstory of his signed samurai sword. The Stewart-Haas driver posed with the sword at Homestead-Miami last weekend and revealed that he is getting every "big hitter" to sign the sword for him, with Dave Portnoy doing the honors this past weekend.
Gragson was one of the many drivers Portnoy met with at Homestead-Miami during the Straight Talk Wireless 400. There, he signed a samurai sword for the #10 Cup Series star.
For the unversed, Portnoy is the owner of Barstool Sports, a sports media company. He is worth $150 million (as per Celebrity Net Worth) and is a renowned face around the NASCAR track. Besides Gragson, he also met Team Penske's Ryan Blaney and race winner Tyler Reddick on Sunday.
Gragson on Friday revealed the insights into his signed sword. Speaking about this, Gragson told @rubbinisracing on Instagram (Barstool Sports' Podcast):
"You've seen Step Brothers, right? We were driving past a vape shop, and they had a samurai sword in the window, so I'm like, every big hitter that comes in the track, I'm gonna get them to sign it. We got a heavy hitter Dave, yeah I mean that's the signature."
Gragson is all set to switch to Front Row Motorsport next season. The news of the switch has come after SHR decided to shut its operations at the end of the 2024 Cup Series season.
Initially, FRM wanted to expand to a three-car operation to put Gragson in. However, he will replace the current FRM driver, Michael McDowell, after it was announced that the latter would switch to Spire Motorsports next season.
This has come amid Front Row Motorsports' charter deal disagreement with NASCAR. The Bob Jenkins-owned team decided not to sign the latest charter deal, and as a result, its third charter is still uncertain.

"Bringing the biggest, baddest, and craziest action to Phoenix with @nitrocircus," Noah Gragson wrote on his official Instagram account.
The livery comes with a primary blue color, with sectors of red and white. The #10 number is written on the door, and the primary sponsor, NitroCircus, overlooks the shoulder.
