"We stuff a lot of people in our house": Kyle Larson opens up on his preparation as a host if he makes Final 4 at Homestead

Kyle Larson recently revealed his plans for the times when he makes it to the Championship 4. Larson, who is currently a favorite to make it into the four-driver lineup which will be in contention for this season's Cup championship, has made that lineup in 2021 and in 2023.

But the difference between his first Final 4 ticket and the one he got last season was that last year, Larson and his family didn't have to travel a lot to support their favorite driver at Phoenix Raceway.

This is because in November 2022, the 2021 Cup champion bought a massive home in Scottsdale where he currently resides with his family. Larson's house is reported to be spread over 6,500 square feet. And with that in mind, the #5 driver was recently asked by Frontstretch whether him winning at Homestead this Sunday would lead to him getting the guest rooms in his house ready.

"Typically its just for Katelyn’s family and friends, we stuff a lot of people in our house like last year we did but its fun. I think I like my friends and family there and lots of them so that really makes you want to make the final 4 a lot as well just so you can see your friends and family and have a good time be a win or lose. So hopefully we can keep it up, keep the performance up and I can see everybody in a couple of weeks," Larson described. [1:15]

Kyle Larson shares why he prefers living in Arizona over Charlotte

In an interview with USAC Racing earlier this year, Kyle Larson revealed why he preferred moving to Arizona over living in North Carolina. Larson claimed that along with NASCAR coming to Phoenix twice in a season, the golf being amazing in Arizona was also a big factor for him to move. He further said (via USA Network):

"We’re a little closer to home for both of us. Katelyn’s parents and my parents, they both drove here for Christmas. So, we’re closer, but not too close. And two, it’s just kind of a way to get away from racing in a sense."

The HMS driver claimed that living in Scottsdale has been 'a lot of fun' for him and his family. He mentioned that everything is no more than 15 minutes away from his residence.

Larson further revealed the co-curricular activities his two children have picked up since moving from Charlotte.

"The kids have been ice skating. They want to play hockey. Owen, I put him into wrestling, so he’s had some wrestling camps, baseball camps. I got him signed up for flag football, Audrey’s doing gymnastics. Maybe you can get some things that are 15 minutes away from you [in North Carolina]. Most of the time, you’re 30-35 minutes to what you want to go do," he added.

Kyle Larson emphasized that he loves North Carolina, and while he still has his place there as well, moving to Arizona was because he wanted to have a place where he'd feel like it's off-season.
