NFL teams with a strong offensive line have a major advantage in executing game plans. They are often the unsung heroes of many successful teams, but having a weak line can make offensive plays extremely difficult. Here's where each team ranks in terms of offensive line quality heading into the 2024 season, with a closer look at the top ten.

#10 - Cincinnati Bengals

After multiple significant injuries to Joe Burrow during his career, the Cincinnati Bengals used the offseason to improve their offensive line. Amarius Mims was drafted in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft and the team added Trent Brown during the free agency period. This has been a big issue, and the team will be looking for a significant improvement this season.

#9 - Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are returning all five O-line starters in the 2024 season. This is a huge advantage as chemistry is a major factor in any line having success. The offensive line leader is Chris Lindstrom, one of the best guards in the NFL.

#8 - Indianapolis Colts

Quenton Nelson has consistently been one of the best guards in the league, especially in run-blocking. He is joined by veterans Braden Smith and Ryan Kelly to give the Indianapolis Colts a solid all-around unit this year.

#7 - New York Jets

The New York Jets made significant improvements to the offensive tackle position during the offseason. Veterans Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses were added to the roster and Olu Fashanu was selected in the 2024 NFL draft. This could prove to be crucial in protecting Aaron Rodgers, who is coming off of a major Achilles injury.

#6 - Dallas Cowboys

Despie losing All-Pro tackle Tyron Smith to the Jets during the offseason, the Dallas Cowboys still have one of the best offensive lines. The line features Zack Martin, one of the best all-around blockers in the NFL.

#5 - Kansas City Chiefs

Much has been made about the Kansas City elite offensive production on the way to winning back-to-back Super Bowl rings. The line has truly been the backbone of the team as they consistently provide Patrick Mahomes with time to operate the offense. Creed Humphrey has been one of the best centers in the NFL and Kingsley Suamataia was added via the draft.

#4 - Los Angeles Chargers

To operate Jim Harbaugh's signature run-heavy offensive gameplan, the Los Angeles Chargers need to have unit that excels in blocking. The team was led by Rashawn Slater on one of the best lines last year and used the first round of the 2024 NFL draft to add Joe Alt.

#3 - Philadelphia Eagles

Losing Jason kelce will be a major blow to the Philadlephia Eagels as he is widely regarded as one of the best centers in NFL history. All-Pro Lane Johnson is also aging, but the unit as a whole still ranks among the best in the league.

#2 - Cleveland Browns

Despite losing their top three tackles to season-ending injuries last year, the Cleveland Browns' offensive line still served as one of the team's biggest strengths. Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin are expected to return to the starting lineup this year, and are expected to return to elite play.

#1 - Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions O-line was absolutely dominant last season and played a major role in the team's overall success. Led by Penei Sewell, the offensive line will be returning all five starters from last season, and a repeat of last season's success is expected.
