3 reasons Ravens should sign Odell Beckham Jr. in 2022

Odell Beckham Jr. remains one of the best available free agents entering Week 10 of the 2022-23 NFL season. He demonstrated last season with the Los Angeles Rams that he's fully capable of contributing at a high level. His contributions saw him earn a Super Bowl ring as he was a key part of their offensive gameplan.

Odell Beckham Jr. is currently recovering from a knee injury suffered during the Super Bowl last season. However, he is expected to be ready to make his return to the field prior to the end of this season. He could provide a major boost to the team that signs him as he could aid a deep playoff run.

One team that would appear to make a ton of sense for Beckham is the Baltimore Ravens. He could potentially team up with quarterback Lamar Jackson as the Ravens look to make a run at a possible Super Bowl this year.

Here are three reasons why Odell Beckham Jr. would be an ideal fit with the Ravens.

#1 - Odell Beckham Jr. wants to play for a Super Bowl contender

Odell Beckham Jr. has made it clear that he's only interested in joining a Super Bowl contender during the 2022-23 NFL season. This is a similar approach he took when he joined the Rams last year.

The Ravens are currently the third seed in the AFC playoff picture with a 6-3 record. They have already established themselves as legitimate contenders but would become even more so if Beckham joined them.

#2 - Baltimore Ravens need more wide receivers

The Ravens shockingly traded away their top wide receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2022 NFL offseason. Rashod Bateman then took over as their leading receiver, but he's been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a foot injury. They are now extremely thin in the wide receiver position, so adding Beckham would fill a major void on their current roster.

#3 - Support Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson has always played with a relatively weak group of wide receivers. Beckham would be the most established wide receiver he's ever played with by a significant margin.

Beckham's experience and skillset would bring a dynamic to the Ravens' offense that Jackson has never had before. This may help elevate him to the next level, despite his already elite production. He currently ranks fourth in passing touchdowns and eighth in rushing yards this season.
