5 QBs with the worst supporting cast in 2024 feat. Josh Allen

A supporting cast for a quarterback, which means all other 10 offensive players (and arguably the coaches), is extremely important. As many players, such as Bryce Young, Patrick Mahomes, and others, learned last season, it can make or break an offense's performance no matter who the QB is. Unfortunately, some QBs will have to contend with a poor supporting cast once again in 2024-25.

Following the departure of Stefon Diggs, the Buffalo Bills have a questionable supporting cast for Josh Allen. Khalil Shakur and Keon Coleman might be decent, but neither are No. 1 wideouts. James Cook is a good running back and they have a strong duo of tight ends in Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox, but it's still an offense with more questions than answers right now.

4) Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones has really never had a good supporting cast, and now it might be even worse. The New York Giants did bring in Malik Nabers to address the wide receiver spot, but Saquon Barkley is gone and Darren Waller retired. It could be a challenging year once again for Jones and the Giants, especially since the offensive line is still a question mark.

3) Drake Maye

Whenever Drake Maye does start for the New England Patriots, he won't have a wealth of help on offense. Rhamondre Stevenson is a decent but unspectacular running back. Kendrick Bourne and Demario Douglas are decent wide receivers, and Ja'Lynn Polk is an unknown. None of the offense screams Pro Bowl, so Maye might have some difficulty adjusting to his new role.

2) Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert had a mediocre supporting cast last year with a broken Mike Williams and an aging Keenan Allen, as well as a mediocre Austin Ekeler. Now, all three of them are gone. Quentin Johnston is the de facto WR1 and Ladd McConkey is there as well. It's hardly a supporting cast that instills any sort of confidence for the 2024-25 season for the Los Angeles Chargers.

1) Bryce Young

The Carolina Panthers made it a focal point of the offseason to address the offense, but it remains to be seen how well they did that. The offensive line was horrid and they added two guards for a lot of money, and that may not pan out. Even after additions, the wide receiver room of Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen, and Xavier Legette is among the league's worst. The running back room is mediocre and the tight end room is nonexistent.
