A. J. Brown or CeeDee Lamb Week 11 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fantasy football projections for WRs
A. J. Brown and CeeDee Lamb have been considered the top two wide receivers in the NFC East since 2022, when the former joined the Philadelphia Eagles via one of the most lopsided trades in recent league history. Since then comparisons have abounded between the two, from their dynamicity to their brashness.
But whose traits are enough to make him a fantasy manager's premier pick? This analysis aims to answer that question.
Is A. J. Brown a good fantasy pick in Week 11?
A. J. Brown dominated in the season-opener against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, but he got hurt, and did not play again until after the bye week. But since his return, it has been as if he were never absent in the first place.
Only once has he failed to hit even ten points - and it was against the Jacksonville Jaguars, whom the Eagles still defeated thanks to Saquon Barkey, who dominated on the ground with over 150 yards and a touchdown and also caught one score as well.
He would rebound nicely next week at the Dallas Cowboys, playing a major part in the rout with 109 yards on only seven catches - an efficient performance that has had Sportskeeda putting him at WR5 in its weekly fantasy football rankings.
But it gets better: Marshon Lattimore, the Washington Commanders' star secondary acquisition at the trade deadline, will not play on Thursday because of a hamstring injury. So expect another strong performance from Brown against a defense that is 18th against WRs, allowing 32.96 points against them.
Is CeeDee Lamb a good fantasy pick in Week 11?
In 2024, CeeDee Lamb has been one of the few bright spots on a rapidly collapsing once-contending team. But his last two performances were anything but contender-worthy.
After exploding for a season-best 39.6 fantasy points off of 146 yards and two touchdowns on 17 catches in the 24-30 loss at the San Francisco 49ers in the Cowboys' first game since their bye week, he has simply vanished - only 16.2 at the Atlanta Falcons, then a ghastly 8.4 against the Eagles.
That stretch has sunk him to WR17, but he should be able to bounce back against the Houston Texans, who are within the bottom quarter when it comes to defending against WRs with an eighth-worst 34.73 points allowed.
Whom should I start between A. J. Brown and CeeDee Lamb?
This battle is not even close by this point - Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer thinks Brown is the better choice to start.
When someone of Lamb's caliber posts a number that only benchwarmers do, it is certain to heavily damage his fantasy stock. And it shows here - the only category he wins is rushing yards and even that is a weakness for the Cowboys, who have seen worrying output from Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle, and Dalvin Cook.
