Aaron Jones injury history: A detailed look into Vikings RB's problems

To replace the departing Alexander Mattison, the Minnesota Vikings signed Aaron Jones in the offseason. The veteran running back has arguably been among the most impressive newcomers in the squad in the first four games of the season. He has blended in seamlessly with the Vikings offense, and his presence has completely changed the explosive nature of the team's backfield.

However, the veteran RB, who has missed significant time in the past with injuries, has suffered his first injury with his new team on Sunday, Oct. 6. He did so in a game against the New York Jets at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Aaron Jones sustained a hip injury during the first half of the Week 5 game. NFL Network play-by-play announcer Rich Eisen revealed during the live broadcast that Jones won't play again in the game.

After suffering a hip injury in the first half and being assessed by the team's medical staff on the sidelines, Jones, who turns 30 in December, was initially listed as questionable to return before being ruled out by the Vikings.

The Vikings have a bye week in Week 6, so Aaron Jones and the team will have some extra time to recover. However, the exact nature of Jones' hip injury won't likely be revealed until Monday.
