Aaron Rodgers sends Will Smith-like message to 'insecure' Sean Payton - "He needs to keep my coaches' names out of his mouth"

Aaron Rodgers recently took a $35 million pay cut from his contract to help the New York Jets construct a better roster around him. Ever since his move to the Jets, the four-time NFL MVP has been locked in and is willing to do anything for the franchise.

After Sean Payton had some harsh words to say about Nathaniel Hackett for his tenure with the Denver Broncos, Rodgers has now come in defense of his offensive coordinator.

As per NFL inside Mike Garafolo, Rodgers during a segment with Peter Schrager clapped back at Payton and said this:

"I love Nathaniel Hackett and those comments were very surprising to for a coach to do that to another coach. My love for Hack goes deep, you know, we had some great years together and Green Bay, kept in touch. I love him and his family. He's an incredible family man, incredible dad and on the field.
"He's arguably my favorite coach I've ever had in the NFL. Just his approach to it. It makes it fun. How he cares about the guys. Just how he goes about his business with respect, with leadership, with honesty with integrity.
"It made me feel bad that someone who's accomplished a lot in the league. Is that insecure that they have to take another man down to set themselves up for some sort of easy fall if it doesn't go well for that team this year. I thought it was way out of line and appropriate and I think he needs to keep my coach's names out of his mouth."
Aaron Rodgers just went in on Sean Payton in a sitdown with @PSchrags on NFL+. It ended with Rodgers saying Payton needs to “keep my coach’s name out of his mouth.”

Aaron Rodgers was visibly upset with Payton's comments as he has the utmost respect for Nathaniel Hackett, who has helped him a lot in his career. The duo is back together in New York, and hopefully together they will shut all their critics.

As for Sean Payton, the Denver Broncos head coach apologized for his mistake and stated that he went too far. The Jets will face the Broncos in Week 5, and everyone is looking forward to it.

Aaron Rodgers is coming off a tough season and many think he won't be able to return to his best. However, the Jets quarterback is absolutely locked in and is working to get back to playing at an MVP level.

He wants to win the second Super Bowl of his career, and the Jets have a team that can help him to win it. Now it is up to the former Green Bay Packers quarterback to play his best football and show the world he can take a team over the hump.
