Aaron Rodgers could be joining a City of Stars: Here are The Big Apple's biggest names

This offseason, quarterback Aaron Rodgers declared his intention to join the New York Jets via trade after 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. The 4-time MVP is one of the greatest signal-callers of all time. He's a 10-time Pro Bowl selection with numerous NFL records

If Aaron Rodgers joins the sports scene in New York, he will join this legendary list of athletes who currently play in the Big Apple.

Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge

There is already one great Aaron in New York. That's Aaron Judge. Judge is perhaps the best player in the MLB today. Last season, he earned AL MVP Honors after hitting a league-best 62 home runs. The 4-time All-Star is a 3-time Silver Slugger Award winner and the face of the New York Yankees.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley

Barkley is one of the greatest running backs in the National Football League. The 2-time Pro-Bowler and former All-American at Penn State is Big Blue's best offensive piece.

According to Pro Football Reference, Barkley has eclipsed over 1,400 scrimmage yards in three of his first five NFL seasons. He set the league record for most receptions by a rookie running back in 2018 (91). His resurgence last season was one of the main reasons why the Giants made the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Barkley is one of the top figures in New York sports and could soon be joined by Aaron Rodgers.

Mets pitcher Max Scherzer

Scherzer is one of a couple of aces on the Mets. The 3-time Cy Young winner has over 3,200 career strikeouts and has led the MLB in wins four times in the last decade. The Mets are no stranger to Scherzer as he no-hit them back in June of 2015 (1 of his 2 career no-hitters). Look for the Mets to be in the World Series race this season because of the arm of the 8-time All-Star.

Knicks F Julius Randle

One of the most resurgent NBA players over the last few seasons has been Knicks star Julius Randle. After spending the first five seasons of his career with three different teams, Randle has found a home in New York. He has made two All-Star appearances in the last three seasons and was named the NBA's 2021 Most Improved Player.

He is the current face of the New York Knicks and a massive reason why they have made the playoffs in two out of the last three years. According to Basketball Reference, he is averaging over 25 points per game and 10 rebounds per contest this season. As long as he is at his best, the Knicks are in a prime position to contend for a championship.

If Aaron Rodgers joins him in the Big Apple, the city will truly be loaded with stars.

Jets CB "Sauce" Gardner

After his rookie season in New York, the former Cincinnati Bearcat is arguably the best cornerback in football. In 2022, Gardner won Defensive Rookie of the Year and earned First-Team All-Pro Honors. Aaron Rodgers' possible future teammate led the league in pass breakups with 20. Going into just his second season, he is one of the best defenders in the NFL.
