AFC Playoff Picture: Who among the Dolphins, Patriots, and Steelers made the playoffs?

The final regular-season games are going down to the wire as the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are all-in with a shot at securing a playoff berth.

Entering the final week, a host of teams have a chance to punch their playoff tickets. While some just needed to win, others needed a win and results to go their way.

Who are the current Super Bowl favorites?

But out of the Dolphins, Steelers, and Patriots, who are going through to the postseason? Well, there's only one and that's the Dolphins. Given Miami has the tie-breaker over the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Patriots' loss to the Buffalo Bills, Mike McDaniel's team will be a part of the AFC playoffs in 2023.

After starting the year in superb fashion, Miami was on a five-game losing streak entering Sunday, and against the New York Jets, they needed a win, which they got.

In unflattering circumstances, the 11-6 win over the Jets was enough for Miami to book their trip to the playoffs as the seventh seed in the AFC. Many thought that it would not happen given the team's recent form, but on the last week of the regular season, it all came together.

With their ninth win of the season and breaking a five-game losing streak, Miami is playoff bound. Thanks largely in part to Skylar Thompson, who completed 20 of his 31 passes for 152 yards.

He was helped by Miami's rushing attack of Jeff Wilson (16 carries, 72 yards) and Raheem Mostert (11 carries, 71 yards).

The 11-9 win wasn't pleasing to the eye, but McDaniel and his team got the desired result and at the end of the day, that's all that mattered.

Whether Tua Tagovailoa will be their quarterback for the playoffs remains to be seen, but at least Miami is part of the tournament.
