Antonio Brown, Ja Morant to collaborate just days after gun controversy, reveals ex-NFL star in now-deleted IG story

Antonio Brown has effectively given up on his NFL career. Despite not officially retiring, Brown has stated that he intends on buying an AFL team as he continues to perform and make music.

He now appears poised to get embattled NBA star Ja Morant involved. Morant is currently taking time away from the Memphis Grizzlies after he was accused of fighting a teenager and pointing a gun at them.

He followed that up by posting a gun on Instagram Live, which prompted the NBA's investigation.

On Instagram Live, Brown announced that he and Morant were dropping a song together in a few weeks. The stream has since been deleted, but fans are expecting the two sports stars to link up on a track sooner rather than later.

Antonio Brown could be a bad influence

Antonio Brown has made music with lots of stars, including Young Thug, Rick Ross and others. Morant hasn't gotten as into making music as other NBA stars like Damian Lillard, but this could be the beginning of a music career.

Antonio Brown may be bad company for Ja Morant

Antonio Brown may not be the best person to work with for Morant. He has had struggles off the court recently and is taking time away from basketball in the meantime.

The guard released a statement on his recent behavior via ESPN:

"I'm sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire organization for letting you down. I'm going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being."

Brown routinely gets in trouble and does things wrong. So a partnership between him and the embattled Grizzlies guard might not bode well if Morant truly wants to get help.

Brown has had his fair share of legal troubles as well as off-field issues while he was an athlete, so he knows what Morant is experiencing.

It isn't apparent whether or not Brown ever learned from his mistakes, so Morant may need to stay away from the enigmatic former wide receiver for the time being.
