Antonio Brown’s career stats signal NFL lifetime’s worth of wasted potential with ex-Buccaneers WR unlikely to return to action
When you think of former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, the first thing that comes to mind might be all of his recent controversial actions.
Brown has tarnished his legacy by running off the field mid-game, calling Mike Mayock a cracker, forcing a trade out of Pittsburgh and Buffalo, and many other things that have overshadowed the remarkable career he had prior to the antics.
AB was one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history.
He has played 12 seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In his career, he had 928 catches for 12,291 yards and scored 83 touchdowns, along with 187 punt returns for 1,761 yards. He was selected to play in 7 Pro Bowls and was a one-time Super Bowl champion.

he was named to four First-Team All-Pros and one Second-Team All-Pro while leading the league in receiving yards and receptions twice while taking the lead in touchdown catches once.
He ranks second all-time in the Steelers franchise in receptions, yards, and touchdowns, all behind Hines Ward, but Brown has played in 87 fewer games as a Steeler.
Antonio Brown has done many controversial things in his career and post-career
Brown was on his way to becoming a Hall-of-Famer before he hurt his legacy and reputation. During the Bucs' Week 17 game vs. the New York Jets, he took off his equipment and stormed off the field in the third quarter, which ended his season and his career in the NFL.
Before storming off the field with the Buccaneers, he forced his way out of Pittsburgh via trade and was disgruntled with the team.
On September 10, 2019, Brown's former trainer, Britney Taylor, accused him of sexual assault on three occasions.
A few days later, Victor Prisk, a doctor from Pittsburgh, filed a lawsuit that claimed Brown had farted in her face.
On October 1, 2022, Brown exposed himself to a woman in a pool in Dubai and was caught on video.
Most recently, Tampa police attempted to arrest him on domestic violence charges at his home on December 1st.
While Brown has had an outstanding NFL career, it may be clouded due to his antics and acting out.
