Bills QB Josh Allen reveals shocking NFL draft night story: "Lost 10 pounds that day from crying"

In 2023, Josh Allen is seen by many as one of the premier quarterbacks in the AFC. However, like most prospects, the quarterback was nervous going into the spring of his draft year.

As most people are aware, social media can come back to bite anyone, and it threw the quarterback into a nervous fit in 2018.

Here's how he described the experience in a TikTok clip on Bussin' with the Boys via yervakin:

"It was a hectic time. There's a lot of s*** that came out and just some crazy stuff. There were some old tweets that me and my buddies would go on each other's Twitter [and ghost post]. Like, it wasn't anything. I don't think it was anything terribly bad but there's a couple of things that blew up on Twitter and I just thought my life was tumbling in front of me."

Allen continued, claiming that he lost almost a dozen pounds from the emotional fallout:

"I probably lost 10 pounds that day from crying and throwing up and I went through it. I was like, 'I don't think any of this is bad' and I had buddies stealing my phone and would tweet something I wouldn't see."

Since then, he's appeared to keep his Twitter squeaky clean with nothing but positivity.

Will Josh Allen win at least 10 games in 2023?

Of course, the tweets didn't ruin anything. The quarterback was drafted seventh overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. While his rookie season (5-6 with 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions) were disappointing, his subsequent seasons have all been of top quality.

Allen hasn't reached a Super Bowl yet and has had trouble in the playoffs, but his regular seasons have been as good as it gets. Aside from his rookie season, he's earned at least 10 wins every season. Allen's best season came in 2020, when he threw for 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

In 2022, however, he did nearly as well, throwing for 35 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while matching the 13-3 record as a starter. He's also been in the conversation for MVP at multiple points in his career.
