Buccaneers QB Tom Brady on track to have worst NFL season throughout 23-year careerĀ

At the age of 45, Tom Brady has accomplished all there is to accomplish in football, and then some. The future Hall of Fame quarterback is a three-time regular season MVP, three-time first-team All-Pro, and 15-time Pro Bowler.

More impressively, no player in league history has won more games than the legendary quarterback - this stands true whether we're talking regular season, postseason, or even Super Bowl victories.

Through it all, Brady has proven to be the greatest quarterback in NFL history. After more than two decades of quarterbacking, it isn't particularly close, either.

All of that may be well behind NFL G.O.A.T., though. Halfway through his 2022 campaign, TB12 is having the worst year of his professional football career, and it only seems to get worse by the week.

When you're a seven-time Super Bowl champion, you're met with a lot of expectations; even if you're 45 years old.

Unfortunately, TB12 has fallen short of just about all of them this season.

Brady is having the worst season of his pro career, logging career-lows in multiple analytical categories and going through longer stretches of struggle than ever before.

Through his '22 campaign, Brady currently has the lowest QBR of his career (49.3), the lowest yards per completion of his career (10.1) and a career-low air yards per pass attempt (7.2).

His .3 touchdown percentage is another low of his career.

The above statement deserves the most attention, not only because Tampa's QB1 is on pace for a mere 18 touchdowns - another career-low, tied with '01 where he started only 14 contests - but he's on pace to do this while attempting more passes than anyone in the league.

Brady's 340 passing attempts is 15 more than anyone else, and only 73 less attempts than the aforementioned '01 season where he logged the same number of passing touchdowns that he's on pace to record this season.

The '01 season was also the only other time where he's thrown more than one touchdown once in an eight-game span.

None of this has boded well with winning, either.

The Buccaneers are currently on a three-game losing streak, and for the first time in his 23-year career, Brady has sunk two games below .500 with a 3-5 record this year.

Many tablets have suffered as a result.

This lack of winning is the big difference between his '22 struggles and any other year we may consider a 'down year' for the future first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback.

As a member of the New England Patriots, you'd have to go all the way back to 2002 to find a year where Tom Brady didn't end the season with double-digit wins. As a Buccaneer, he's yet to fall below 11 wins.

Right now, the team is on pace to finish the year with six wins.

There's still an entire half of the season left, so it isn't too late for Tampa to turn things around. For that to happen, though, they need their quarterback to perform better - no one knows that more than TB12.
