Buccaneers star Leonard Fournette surprises staff at sushi bar with massive $1,000 tipĀ
Leonard Fournette has made a lot of people smile playing on the football field throughout his NFL career. This time, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back made a local waiter smile with his tip. A waiter at a Tampa Bay restaurant was given a $1K tip after the Buccaneers dined at the establishment. 26-year-old Tim Macasaet, said he served a table of four at the Zukku-San sushi bar and had no clue that he was serving the running back at first:
"They sit down, take their order, bring their food and it's not until then I realize that part of the four who came in and waited 15 minutes for a table...that was Leonard Fournette, a big Buccaneers star and I had no idea about it until later on."
Macasaet has worked at Zukku-San for the previous 10 months as their lead server. He said he gave the table of four their bill, which totaled $85. The Buccaneers star called the server over to the table to speak to Macasaet:
"He actually calls me over and he says, can I speak to you for a second? I thought something was wrong. He points at the check and says, I just want you to know this is all for you, I see $1,000 on the tip line and he just affirms me this is not a mistake."
Macasaet said he plans to move to North Carolina with his family. He said he will use the $1K tip towards moving expenditures. Macasaet said he did not recognize the former LSU Tigers star, but several of his coworkers did. He said that Fournette was very kind to him and the staff:
"It really just showed me that it's really good to put some positivity and some love out there even if you don't expect anything out of it."
