The Chicago Bears earned a dominant 27-3 Week 2 preseason win against the Cincinnati Bengals today. In a game where the Bengals didn't play any of their starters, Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent and wide receiver Dante Pettis led Chicago to the win with their two-touchdown connection.
2024 first-overall pick Caleb Williams started the first half for the Bears and had a highlight-reel seven-yard touchdown run that put the Bears up 10-0 with 1:33 left in the first half. Bengals kicker Evan McPherson cut the Bears' lead to a touchdown before the half ended, as he hit a 54-yard field goal.

Rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze had a reception for 45 yards and a 16-yard run for the Bears. As a team, the Bears had two sacks on defense and two interceptions.
Bengals quarterback Logan Woodside played a majority of the game, completing 17-of-25 passes for 132 yards and two interceptions. The Bengals' leading rusher was Noah Cain, who had 28 yards on eight carries.
The Bengals' leading tackler was Maema Njongmeta, who had eight tackles. As a team, the Bengals had one sack and no turnovers on defense.
