Chuba Hubbard or Najee Harris or Kareem Hunt Week 10 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fantasy football projections for RBs
Fantasy football managers know that choosing the right running back can often be the difference and in Week 10, Chuba Hubbard, Najee Harris, and Kareem Hunt are some of the options. Each of them plays for a different kind of team in league standings, but all of them have the potential to reward their owners with fantasy points.
Chuba Hubbard plays for the Panthers, who are having as bad a season as one can imagine. They have flip-flopped between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton as their starter and have a 2-7 record. Prior to their win against the hapless Saints, they had one victory all season. They now face a Giants team with the same record as them and will be hopeful of eking out a win.
Najee Harris has been in fine form for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. They, too, have had two starting quarterbacks, Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, but that was a forced substitution when the former Super Bowl winner was injured. The running back has been a constant as they have racked up a 6-2 record to lead the AFC North. However, they face arguably their stiffest challenge this season when they take on the 7-2 Commanders on Sunday.
Kareem Hunt got an opportunity for the Chiefs this season after Isiah Pacheco went down with an injury. He has relished his role in the offense, with crafty play designs by Andy Reid executed to perfection by Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City are 8-0 and the only undefeated team in the league. But they were taken to overtime by the Buccaneers last week and face a divisional foe in the Broncos in Week 10.
Given these circumstances, we analyze who among the three running backs is the best starter for fantasy football managers.
Is Chuba Hubbard a good pick in Week 10?
Chuba Hubbard has been a steady performer this season. He started slowly against the Saints with a 14-yard game but since then has hit the 50-yard mark every week. He has 665 rushing yards in 133 carries, averaging a solid five yards per attempt.
He also has five touchdowns this year, with two of them coming in the last game against the Saints. That was his best output, in terms of points, in 2024, and he has breached the 100-yard mark twice against the Raiders and the Bengals. All of this points to him being a good choice for fantasy football managers.
Is Najee Harris a good pick in Week 10?
Najee Harris has similar numbers to the Panthers' running back with 592 yards this season in 136 carries. That gives him an average of 4.4 yards per attempt. He has also recorded two touchdowns in this campaign.
One could argue that this shows that Chuba Hubbard is better in every category but Najee Harris has momentum on his side. He has crossed the 100-yard barrier in each of his last three games, and both his forays into the endzone have come in that period. He presents an intriguing prospect for fantasy football owners.
Is Kareem Hunt a good pick in Week 10?
Kareem Hunt has 414 yards in 111 carries this season, averaging 3.7 yards per attempt. One could argue that Najee Harris and Chuba Hubbard are both better in those categories, but he has five touchdowns in six games this year.
He has reached the endzone in the last four weeks and is a devastating threat in the red zone on an offense that regularly reaches there. Fantasy football managers cannot ignore his potential in Week 10 either.
Whom should I start among Chuba Hubbard, Najee Harris, and Kareem Hunt in Week 10?
With each candidate making a good case for inclusion, we looked at Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer tool to decide whom to start in Week 10.
Kareem Hunt emerges as the favorite above other contenders. Even though his counterparts are expected to get more yards, his propensity to score a touchdown propels him above in our comparison. It is a close call but he shades it and if we have learned anything for the last few seasons, it is never a good idea to bet against the Chiefs in close matchups.
