Cincinnati Bengals vs. Carolina Panthers: Box score, stats and summary feat. Andy Dalton
In another Andy Dalton game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the quarterback looked to take the Carolina Panthers to a second straight win since he was named the starter quarterback. While he was clearly an upgrade over Bryce Young, you could also understand why the Bengals pushed for - and received - an upgrade with Joe Burrow.
The match started at 1 p.m. ET, and the referee was Adrian Hill. Cincinnati's offensive firepower was in excellent display with Ja'Marr Chase scoring a long touchdown, but the Panthers kept the score close. But a touchdown late in the second quarter had the visitors leading at halftime.
However, Joe Burrow's team was able to put two possessions on the score and never looked back, improving to 2-2 and regaining ground in the fight for the 2024 playoffs.

Bengals vs. Panthers game summary
It turned out to be a closer contest than expected due to the Panthers' offense getting off the ground. Once again, they looked like a functional offense without Bryce Young limiting everything due to his size and lack of game-speed processing.
One of the best things that could ever happen to Carolina is for them to get a functional quarterback to really evaluate their offense, and things improved massively with a veteran presence. The offensive line is really, really good in pass protection, and once again they did not allow a single sack.
But this was supposed to be a get-right game for Cincinnati and that's exactly what happened. Ja'Marr Chase and Joe Burrow connected in a deep touchdown pass, the running game worked wonders in the second half and Zac Taylor's team was able to find a way to win the game without sweating a lot in the second half.
The game that really matters for them is in Week 5, though. As they play the Baltimore Ravens, this will be one of the biggest tests of their season. Let's see if they're up to the challenge.
