Daniel Jones or Kirk Cousins or Derek Carr: Who should I start in Week 5 Fantasy Football?

If you have Kirk Cousins, Derek Carr and Daniel Jones in your fantasy team, you probably picked up at least one or two of them since Week 1. With suddenly a stuffed bench with quarterbacks, managers find themselves overwhelmed with several options going into Week 5. Here's a look at whether the drafted darling or the waiver wire wonder is the move this week.

Daniel Jones' fantasy value might be exclusively tied to whether Malik Nabers plays. Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer doesn't expect to see Nabers this week, which sets a low ceiling for Daniel Jones. He is expected to earn just 9.7 points in a showdown against the defensive behemoth Seattle Seahawks.

Kirk Cousins is due to face a secondary that effectively opened the door for Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. However, with the game being a divisional matchup between the Falcons and Buccaneers, the ceiling for the quarterback is notably low. Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer predicts a mere 13.5 points this week.

Derek Carr set the NFL on fire to start his season, leading to a sweepstakes for the quarterback in early September. However, the heat has died down quite a bit. Carr is now 2-2 and is slated for a less-than-inspiring performance this week against his one-time divisional foe Kansas City Chiefs. Carr is expected to earn 10.6 points this week.

Should I start Daniel Jones or Kirk Cousins or Derek Carr in Week 5?

Fantasy football managers with all three quarterbacks have their backs against the wall. Not only is their bench inundated with a position most leagues only allow one starter in, but all three quarterbacks also have tough matchups.

That said, Cousins gets the nod in Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer. It won't be an explosive breakout performance, but it will be the best of the three quarterbacks this week. Put simply, the matchups didn't quite line up, but if there is a quarterback that could beat expectations, it is Cousins, who faces a leaky Buccaneers secondary.

Cousins should throw for around 200 yards, one to two touchdowns and avoid an interception, although he appears to have a 40% chance to throw one.
