Did Josh Jacobs hit a waitress? Raiders star responds to rumors going wild on social media

Recently, rumors began swirling that Las Vegas Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs had hit a waitress and was arrested for doing so. The rumors circulated on social media and quickly had the fan base concerned.

There are a lot of domestic violence issues in the NFL and the league doesn't need any more. Jacobs has also been a revelation this season and if he did something like that, his career might have been over. However, according to many sources, including the running back himself, this rumor is false.

Jacobs saw the rumor online and was totally confused, tweeting:

"Hold on what's going on?... Why mfs always playing with my name cuhh?"

He also mentioned that he hadn't even left his house that day, so it would have been impossible for him to assault a waitress. A TMZ Sports reporter also confirmed that there is no legitimate story about Jacobs or any other Raiders player, for that matter.

You’re hearing wrong. This is absolutely false. There’s no Josh Jacobs story, nor a story on any @Raiders players. Trust me, I’d know. @iAM_JoshJacobs twitter.com/insidevegasbea…

The Raiders have struggled this season, but losing their star running back for assaulting a waitress would have finished them for the season.

Fortunately for Jacobs' fantasy managers, fans of the team and the franchise itself, the story is entirely made up.

Las Vegas Raiders running back is having a career year

The running back, who was drafted in the first round in 2019 and has had a decent career. He never quite showed why he was worthy of that draft spot, though.

That is, he hadn't until this year. Jacobs has burst onto the scene, becoming one of the few producing players on a 2-6 Raiders team. On October 28, a graphic was posted showing just how good he has been this year.

By comparison, the star running back is playing better than Marcus Allen did when he won MVP in 1985 and it isn't particularly close. Jacobs hasn't kept up the same pace recently, faltering a little in the last two weeks. However, he's still having a career season and there's plenty of time left in the 2022 campaign.
