DK Metcalf injury update: Latest on Seahawks WR's status for Week 3 fantasy football

DK Metcalf's health could be a concern for the Seattle Seahawks ahead of their NFL Week 3 matchup. The Seahawks host the Miami Dolphins this week as they try to extend their momentum (2-0) following wins against the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots.

The Seahawks face a struggling Dolphins hit with injuries, especially at the quarterback position. Metcalf could also miss this game, as he was listed as DNP on Wednesday's injury report.

The Seahawks might be in a big predicament come Sunday since Metcalf is one of 15 players listed as limited or DNP on the IR. RB Kenneth Walker III, LB Jerome Baker and DE Leonard Williams are other names included on the report.

DK Metcalf injury update: What happened to Seahawks star WR?

DK Metcalf missed Wednesday's practice session with a hand injury fresh off a terrific game against the New England Patriots. Metcalf had 10 catches for 129 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown in the 23-20 overtime win over the Pats.

Losing Metcalf would be huge not only for the Seahawks but fantasy managers, given the way he played last week. Both Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (117 yards) eclipsed the 100-yard threshold against New England.

DK Metcalf sends warning about Seahawks' offense

Speaking of the remarkable start to the season the team has had, DK Metcalf hyped up the Seahawks offense, saying that it's a matter of time before every weapon starts going off on opponents.

"'Cause you got (Tyler Lockett), me, (Jaxon Smith-Njigba) and you still haven't seen (Noah Fant)," Metcalf said Wednesday, per NFL.com's Grant Gordon.
"You saw (Kenneth Walker III) Week 1. Zach Charbonnet still has to break out. So, I think it's just a ticking time bomb for all of our stars on offense just to have their game."

Kenneth Walker III surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark against the Denver Broncos. This team isn't seen as a candidate by many, but if all the pieces click, the Seahawks could make some noise.

Metcalf moved from three to 10 receptions in Week 2, totaling 129 yards, 100 more than against the Broncos, and scoring a touchdown to help Seattle defeat New England in a thrilling contest.
