Drake London or Chris Godwin Week 5 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fantasy football projections for WRs
Drake London and Chris Godwin are on deck to play in TNF's midweek showdown between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons. However, with the game coming up quickly, some managers are unable to do their typical research and stress routine.
Is Drake London a good pick in Week 5?
According to Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer, Drake London is in line for perhaps his best game this season. London is projected to earn 15.3 points this week. Considering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense handed the Denver Broncos their only offensive explosion of the season, it is logical to believe that London will pull off a solid game.
The projection doesn't expect a 100-yard game. However, it does expect six receptions for about 70 yards, with a touchdown likely thrown in for good measure. In terms of yardage, this would be his best game of the season.
Is Chris Godwin a good pick in Week 5?
Chris Godwin has been handcuffed to Mike Evans for his entire career, stuck as the second wide receiver. That said, it doesn't mean he's a wasted start. Per Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer, Godwin is in line for 14.5 points.
With Evans taking most of the attention, Baker Mayfield should have little trouble finding Godwin. Still, he isn't expected to take off the top of the defense, considering the divisional matchup situation.
Both teams play each other twice per season every year, so the Falcons are distinctly aware of the Buccaneers' loaded wide receiving core. That doesn't mean they will be able to stop Godwin fully, but they will be able to avoid a defensive catastrophe.
Whom should I start between Drake London and Chris Godwin in Week 5?
According to Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer, Drake London gets the nod. With Bijan Robinson and Kirk Cousins set for a solid day against a leaky Buccaneers defense, it opens up only more opportunities for London.
He will see the best the defense has to offer, but it won't be enough to shut him down. Rather, he will get the best production line of his season so far.
London and Chris Godwin are both solid options, but this week, both players are flex or WR3 starters. London gets priority and based on the timing of the matchup and who their managers face, it should get most managers a lead going into the Sunday slate of games.
